Children's Ministries
We are blessed to have been given the opportunity to teach our children the many stories of God’s love that will help shape and confirm their faith. As you can see, Children’s Education Ministries offer a wide variety of options from long to short term commitments. Living the Promise of Baptism Families will be invited to share a brunch with other families who have had their children baptized in the same calendar year. We give parents faith support and encouragement as their children begin their life as a child of God. Music Play Group meets during the education hour for children 0-3 years. Come join us as we groove, move and sing.
KFC - Kids for Christ Wednesday Night Education for 4th and 5th graders meet each week during the school year. This is a fun, active, supportive group. The kids start each class with a light meal provided by parents. We learn about our Faith using movies, crafts, games and service projects. We end the night with the option of joining the choir or staying in class for games and service projects. The schedule is posted in the weekly bulletin or the website calendar.
Childrens Music Music is part of each child’s Sunday school experience. The kids meet as a large group together at the beginning of the Sunday School hour and we sing some favorite songs and learn some new ones too! Choir: Joyful Noise Our Joyful noise kids love to sing! Kids Kd-5th grade meet each week during the school year. They have a lot of fun singing their favorite tunes and learning new ones together. They perform monthly at worship services. Youth Band: Crosswalk Choir Our 6th-12th grade vocalists and musicians have a wonderful time as they fine tune their talents. They contribute in many ways during worship services.
Sunday School Sunday School provides a warm, friendly and fun place to explore our faith. We use many hands-on activities, online resources and a wonderful curriculum that provide kids with Bible Stories, Bible Basics and an overview of Martin Luther’s Small Catechism. Sunday School Children meet on Sunday mornings during the education hour. It is offered to children ages Pre-school-5th grade. Classes are taught by a team of wonderful volunteer teachers. Memorable events in a child’s faith education are; baptism, 3rd grade Bible presentations, 1st communion, Lent activities and our Family of Christ Christmas Program and Potluck. Vacation Bible School VBS is a four day fun Bible adventure. A really great faith-filled, amazing experience is had by children of all ages! Kids learn Bible stories as they rotate through crafts, games, reenactments and movies. VBS is held in the evening during the first week of August.
